The JaguarForumsUK Newsletter (June 2022)

Welcome to our June 2022 Newsletter.

A lot has been going on, both on and offline, in the past month or so and we would love to bring you up to date with everything that is going on here. So grab yourself a comfy cushion, a big cup of coffee or tea and settle down for all the latest news from JaguarForumsUK.

Did you know that at this years event, we hosted almost 100 years of Jaguar production, with not just showroom Jaguars, but also daily runners, classics, modified Jaguars and so much more?

We presented seven awards across a huge range of Jaguars with the winners being:

The Scratchshield Best Turned Out Jaguar Award - John Phillips

Best Exhaust Tone Award - Michelle Eva Groves

Daily Driver Award - Roy Watts

Best Classic Award - Alan West

Best Jaguar With Potential Award - Steven Addison

Organisers Choice Award - Glenn May

JagChat Award - Henry Smith

Congratulations to all our winners!!

Last year we introduced a new feature to our event  - a LIVE interactive version of the Jaguar Trivia Quiz that we host online (also one of the largest online Jaguar knowledge quizzes available!! not to blow our own trumpet :-)).

This years live quiz was a real challenge to even the most knowledgeable attendees, with everything on the line until the very last question with just three people remaining. Two attendees picked one potential answer, and one the other. The atmosphere was tense with anticipation, could it be that the one person was right and the winner, or was he wrong to split from the choice the other two competitors picked?  After a pause we found out that Neil Palmer was the winner - he is now our Most Knowledgeable Attendee for 2022. Congratulations to him for this achievement.

This year we are proud to announce that Liam Gellett has joined the JaguarForumsUK event team, as our official event photographer.

Liam is an incredible independent photographer and the quality of his work shines through with the official shots he has taken of our 2022 event.

Liam has released the shots to us, to use in our Event Gallery giving you great access to his work online, and you can also purchase originals from him at very reasonable rates, compared to commercial photographers, making it easier than ever for you to own high quality images of YOUR Jaguar at our event.

In addition we have not just updated our gallery section of our website - we have completely revamped it! If you haven't checked out our online galleries recently, you really need to pop by and take a look.. we now have 100's of images easy to view individually, or as a slide show that runs in a browser on your computer or phone. You can 'like' photo's, leave comments and so much more. So why not pop by, and leave comments against the photo's you especially love or pop up some details about YOUR Jaguar for everyone to see? And any images you love, just drop a line to Liam and order a copy to own.

Also this year we have a great range of attendees photo's too that you can look through - a massive Thankyou to everyone that sent their images in to us, we really appreciate you sharing your images with us. We have split them off this year, giving you your very own Event Gallery.

This year we had the fastest and most efficient arrivals system in place that we have ever had, taking us from the 30 to 40 car queues of previous years to virtually no queues at all!! A massive Thankyou to those incredible attendees that donated their time at the start of the event to not only get the new process into place, but also make sure everyone got to where they needed to be quickly, efficiently and above all safely.

If you would like to get involved with our Marshaling team for our 2023 event please list your club choice on Registration as 'MARSHAL' and we will make sure you have your site map, high viz JaguarForumsUK Volunteer vest, and an ALL AREAS Access Pass sorted for you - a huge Thankyou to those of you who sign up for this.

As you will be aware, we support a fantastic charity - the Chestnut Tree House Hospice. They support families dealing with child illnesses.

We had collection buckets out and about on the day, collecting, any and all, loose change everyone had with them.

In addition Signia Hearing have agreed to double any takings up to a maximum of £250. As soon as the final figures are in we will update you but believe that with Signia Hearing's help we have beaten any previous years charity donations!!

A massive Thankyou goes out to everyone who has helped us to support this great cause which is so important to so many families at their time of need.

Finally, those of you who have followed us through the years will likely be aware that our 2022 event was our eleventh event, and our ninth year of running.

This means that our 2023 Great Day Out is our TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY event!!

Places are going to be in demand and limited so we recommend booking early for this event.. don't forget if, closer to the time you find you cannot make the event you can always request a refund, or for your booking to be moved forward to the following event - this is our way of guaranteeing your booking and ensuring you don't lose out should your circumstances change.

Our event team is currently collating ideas on what we can do to make our 2023 event even more special for everyone so if you have any thoughts or ideas please send them through to event.ideas@jaguarforumsuk.com and we will add them to the ideas we have so far.
