Jaguars at Gaydon & the JBC

On Saturday 3rd September, the monthly Jaguar breakfast meeting at the British Motor Museum (CV35 0BJ) is the biggest on the calendar, an annual event known as “Jaguars at Gaydon”. Hosted jointly by the Jaguar Breakfast Club and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, this full-day extravaganza will celebrate the Jaguar centenary in style.

A live arena will feature a timeline of significant vehicles from one hundred illustrious years of Swallow to Jaguar. There will also be musical entertainment and even be an ice-cream van!

The main Museum display areas are open to Jaguars and Daimlers only and the event is therefore a ticket only occasion. All ticket types include access to join the Jaguar display.

If you are making a one-off visit, you can book an “Exhibitors Ticket” and receive discounted admission to the Museum.

Those with annual passes gain free entry, but to save time on the day it is recommended that you book a place in advance through the Museum website. Regardless of the booking times available to book, all Jaguars are privileged and can arrive from 9am.

Supercharged Saturday August 6th 2022

After an initial conversation six months before the event with Peter Simpson we decided that supercharged Saturday would work.

Peter was very easy to work with and had organisational skills I lacked. I knew what I wanted to do and Peter pointed me in the right direction of what would and wouldn’t work.

There followed six months of flooding Facebook to make sure all Jaguar owners knew about the event!

On the day we had over 300 supercharged cars and 200 n/a cars. All supercharged cars were parked by marque and it was a truly amazing spectacle.

A live arena was run with Andy Stodart and Martin Joyce comparing 16 hand-picked supercharged cars and interviewing their owners.

There were some very impressive cars in the live arena, both modified and standard.

The Jaguar Breakfast Club and myself would like to thank all who attended and supported the event.

Next year the Supercharged Saturday event will be held on 3rd June .

Watch out on Facebook for updates.

Please remember all cars are welcome not just supercharged.

Photographs of your Jaguar - the perfect gift

We are proud to have Liam Gellett on the JaguarForumsUK Event Team, as our official event photographer.

Liams work is not only available in our online gallery but available to purchase too.

Photos make great gifts, and in purchasing you will also be helping us retain his services for next year.

Liam has released all his shots to us, to use in our new look Event Gallery giving you great access to his work online, and enabling you to see which image(s) you would like.

Did you know that we now have 100's of images from our events available on our website, easy to view individually, or as a slide show that runs in a browser on your computer or phone?

You can 'like' photo's, leave comments and so much more. So why not pop by, and leave comments against the photo's you especially love or pop up some details about YOUR Jaguar for everyone to see?

And any images you love, just drop a line to Liam and order a copy to own.

Our Highlight of the Month

We would like to highlight independents that we have tried, and trust, with our own Jaguars - supplying maintenance, repairs, and components matching dealership standards but at a fraction of the cost.

This month we are highlighting two companies that we know and love.

Julian Ferraro Jaguar

Not only has Julian Ferraro attended almost every event we have run offering free advice (and on site help) but they have also helped look after not only our own Jaguars, but also Jaguars owned by our attendees.

Julian Ferraro opened its doors for business in 1996, and services all models of Jaguar right from the Austin Seven Swallow through to the latest Jaguar models offering servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and even tuning.

Julian Ferraro has a heritage that actually goes back to the 1960's, working alongside Tony Shaw helping him beat other works teams with his racing E-Type and this heritage really shines through in their work.

Why not give them a call on 01722 744059? Don't forget to mention we put you in touch please.

JagDoctor

JagDoctor became involved with our event relatively recently, supporting all Jaguar models from the X-Type & S-Type forwards offering everything from cambelt changes, to servicing, even gearbox servicing.

JagDoctor offers free advice and support at our events, and not only looks after and services one of our Jaguars, but also our attendees Jaguars.

If you own a modern Jaguar model, we recommend you give them a call on 07985481547 and don't forget to mention we put you in touch.

Cleaning your Jaguar during a hosepipe ban

Are you struggling between your community conscience for water saving, and keeping your Jaguar as clean as it deserves to be?

It is something that we all struggle with, but you can not only save water, your costs, and water but also keep your Jaguar looking as clean and pristine as it deserves to be.

The JaguarForumsUK team has been testing out Scratchshields two and three bucket hand wash systems for a number of years now. They remove virtually all the grit washed off from the water to enable you to safely wash your Jaguar scratchfree, minimising water usage, and enabling you to not only be seen to save water but also maintain that Jaguar shine on your Jaguar.

We highly recommend the Scratchshield system - even more so whilst we have hosepipe bans in place.

Visit www.scratchshield.co.uk today to order your British made, locally shipped hand wash bucket system and help us to help you take care of your Jaguar, and the water supply.

Finally, those of you who have followed us through the years will likely be aware that our 2022 event was our eleventh event, and our ninth year of running.

This means that our 2023 Great Day Out is our TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY event!!

Places are going to be in demand and limited so we recommend booking early for this event.. don't forget if, closer to the time you find you cannot make the event you can always request a refund, or for your booking to be moved forward to the following event - this is our way of guaranteeing your booking and ensuring you don't lose out should your circumstances change.

Our event team is currently collating ideas on what we can do to make our 2023 event even more special for everyone so if you have any thoughts or ideas please send them through to event.ideas@jaguarforumsuk.com and we will add them to the ideas we have so far.

OK, that is it for this months newsletter - we really hope that you like the fresh new format and look, and that we have not overloaded you too much :-)

Please find below, links to everything mentioned in this newsletter, so you can follow up on things helping us to help you make JaguarForumsUK not just great but incredible for everyone.
